The open day, which was held at our Lisbon
apartments Santos River, was a great success. We received a large number of corporate
and leisure clients and also travel agents and letting agents. We conducted
show rounds of our studio apartments and one bedroom apartments and everyone was
very impressed with them. Very positive feedback.
Our Managing Director, Charles McCrow was
interviewed by Expresso (Lisbonґs main weekly newspaper) and also by SIC, which
is one of 4 major tv channels in Portugal. More information on the publication and
broadcast of the interviews will follow in next monthґs newsletter.

INDUSTRY NEWS FROM ACROSS THE
GLOBE
* Oakwood Worldwide has opened the 202 unit
Oakwood Premier Pune, a 5 star deluxe property. This is Oakwoodґs second property
in the city, following the Oakwood Residence Naylor Road in 2007
* Frasers Hospitality has opened a 75 unit
property in Edinburgh. Fraser Suites Edinburgh is the groupґs second property in
Scotland, after Fraser Suites Glasgow (100 apartments) opened in 2007.
* Oakwood is returning to the Phillipines
later this year with the opening of the Premier Joy Nostalg Center in Manila. The
property will have 233 luxury residences. Oakwood Premier in Makati City was rebranded
as an Ascott property in 2006.
* The Ascott Group has opened its newest
property in Tianjin in Northern China. The Somerset Youyi is the groupґs second
property in the town. The Somerset Olympic Tower opened there in 1998. Somerset
Youyi has 250 apartments, ranging from studios to three bedroom apartments.
* Quest Serviced Apartments, which operates
many locations across Australia and New Zealand has opened its latest location,
in Hunter Valley (NSW). The property has 35 two and three bedroom fully furnished
serviced apartments.
