Summer is here! It has been a busy month of June at The Apartment
Service, with our participation at the Business Travel Market in Excel. It was a
great success and we have a review for you in this newsletter.
We also had our Open Day in Reading on the 25th June and also this
was very well received and we booked all our remaining available apartments there
on the day.

preparations for the follow up of the

BUSINESS TRAVEL MARKET 2009
- REVIEW
The debut of the Business Travel Market show at Excel on
the 17th & 18th June proved to be a success and beneficial for The Apartment
Service. A show aimed at Business Travel buyers, The Apartment Service decided this
time to exhibit as part of the HBAA zone. This helped to raise awareness to the
hosted buyers and the Hotel Booking Agents that Serviced Apartments are something
that can be incorporated into existing corporate travel policies alongside hotels.
And for the HBAs themselves, a perfect opportunity to expand on the services they
already offer to their clients.
The Apartment
Service is now able to offer Extranet Services to its clients through affiliate
links, White labeling, I frames and Web services. Extensive Management information
in the form of Business Analysis reports and Enquiry tracking reports are all part

INDUSTRY NEWS FROM ACROSS THE
GLOBE
* Accor has just opened its first Suitehotel
in Dubai and is planning to introduce the Adagio brand to Dubai and Abu Dhabi as
well in the next 12 months
* Shama Group is planning to take over 2
existing Pinnacle brand serviced apartments in Shanghai and convert them into Shama
properties. They have also signed contracts to open new properties in
Chengdu (Sichuan Province) and Dalian City (Lianoning Province) later this
year.
* IHG is to triple their portfolio of Extended
Stay Hotels in the Houston area. Another 2400 suites will be added through Staybridge
and Candlewood Suites with 27 properties in the pipeline.
* Accor Hospitality has opened 2 beach front
Mercure resorts on the Southern Thailand island Koh Samui. Mercure Samui Buri Resort
comprises of 56 rooms and 29 private villas and Mercure Samui Fenix on Lamai Beach
has 52 rooms and 8 villas.
* Oakwood Residence Thonglor in Bangkok
is now open. 67 apartments ranging from studios to three bedrooms.
* Wyndham has opened its first property
